Data and purposes
For recruitment we use your name, email, rank, optional phone, selected vacancy and CV to assess your application and recruitment opportunities within the agency. For Contact we use your name, email and message to handle your enquiry. Do not send identity documents or medical, banking or family information; these are not necessary for the initial stage.
Consent
Processing applications, CVs and Contact messages relies on explicit consent under GDPR Article 6(1)(a), given through an initially unchecked box. We record the date and privacy-notice version. Providing data is voluntary; without consent the form does not submit your details. You may phone the agency to discuss alternatives. We do not seek marketing consent.
Retention and withdrawal
We retain your data until you withdraw consent, while it remains necessary for the stated purpose. We periodically review necessity; consent does not justify keeping data that is no longer needed. Withdraw at any time, free of charge, by emailing office@stargate-agency.ro and identifying the application or message, or by phone. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of earlier processing. We stop processing and delete your data and agency-controlled copies; proportionate identity verification may be required. Earlier records collected with a seven-day limit are not automatically extended. Random technical deletion identifiers may remain for up to 30 days to remove delayed email copies, without names, email addresses or CVs.
Access and recipients
Only the authorised person in the agency accesses these details. CVs are received at office@stargate-agency.ro and are not forwarded to shipowners, partners or other commercial recipients. Romarg provides hosting and email infrastructure under the applicable agreements. We do not use external CV analysis or solely automated decisions. Provider configuration, mail copies and backups must follow this notice.
Security and copies
CVs are private and excluded from the application’s editorial backup. Withdrawal also covers mailbox copies, internal downloads and backup restorations managed by the agency. Minimal technical security logs rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) and have a 30-day application retention period. They do not contain CV or message contents.
Your rights
You may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Contact office@stargate-agency.ro. You may complain to ANSPDCP at www.dataprotection.ro. We do not make solely automated decisions with legal effects.
Cookies and display
Technical sessions support forms and authentication; there are no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking widgets. Images and fonts are hosted locally. The default theme is dark. Your Light/Dark choice is stored locally as stargate-theme without form data and can be cleared in browser settings.
